The Prez Says

Joe was off to Bean Town on spring break, so the following was prepared by an April Fool.

“Single and looking for something to do?”.

Ya gotta eat -- right? There may be more than nine events where you can share a meal with fellow CWN members in April - and that doesn't count the dining possibilities when golf and dining crank up in April, weather permitting. Yes, as we turn the calendar to a new page, there are lots of diverse events and activities to enjoy. And you will only be a fool if you miss the only CWN dance in April on the 13th. No fooling, it will have a April Fools theme, decorations and merriment.

Search the Newsletter for the details and info about the fun events, including Dice and Cards and a nine mile hike, really. Get your bike tuned up, the Wednesday night riders will be starting in May.

Broadway in Appleton!

Unique opportunity to see a wonderful first-class Broadway touring show in Appleton.

The true story of the small town that welcomed the world.

Broadway’s Come From Away has won Best Musical all across North America!

The New York Times Critics’ Pick takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran night, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.

Don’t miss this breathtaking new musical written by Tony nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein, and helmed by this year’s Tony Award-winning Best Director, Christopher Ashley. Newsweek cheers, “It takes you to a place you never want to leave!”

On 9/11, the world stopped. On 9/12, their stories moved us all.

Show time is 7:30 on Saturday, April 6th with a possible dine out before the show depending on the wishes of the group. Tickets go on sale through the venue beginning February 8th. Ticket ordering is on your own but we will try to coordinate seating together. Ordering early is advised to procure the best seating. Prices vary depending on seating but expect to pay at least $100 for this professional production.
