Bringing Singles Together

Like CWN on Facebook

Prez Says

“Single and looking for something to do?”.

Snowshoeing, hiking, dancing, music, movies, dining. Avoid cabin fever with fun activities. And looking ahead, stay tuned for Dance Lessons on Sundays in March, and a "Broadway" play in Appleton in April.

Read the Newsletter for the details and info about the fun events, and update your calendars with the 2019 CWN dance dates that are booked so far. Be sure to attend the only CWN Dance in February on Saturday February 2, 2019 at the Moose. The dance will be preceded by the CWN Annual Members Meeting at 6:30 p.m. for election of the Board of Directors, financial reports, and any other info you need.

CWN is currently seeking additional individuals to serve on the 2019 CWN Board of Directors. As a CWN Board member you will have direct input into how the organization is run as well as an important vote on all CWN operations. 2019 Board members will elect officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer) at their first organizational meeting and are expected to serve on at least one standing Committee. Accordingly, prospective Board members should give some thought regarding desire to serve as an officer and potential Committee assignments.

As a volunteer organization, CWN relies on its members to step forward and fill these necessary positions – without you the organization ceases to exist. Please consider giving back to the Club by serving on the 2019 CWN Board and additionally as an Officer. If you are interested, please contact me at joetylka@yahoo.com.

Broadway in Appleton!

Unique opportunity to see a wonderful first-class Broadway touring show in Appleton.

DESCRIPTION
The true story of the small town that welcomed the world.

Broadway’s Come From Away has won Best Musical all across North America!

The New York Times Critics’ Pick takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran night, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.

Don’t miss this breathtaking new musical written by Tony nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein, and helmed by this year’s Tony Award-winning Best Director, Christopher Ashley. Newsweek cheers, “It takes you to a place you never want to leave!”

On 9/11, the world stopped. On 9/12, their stories moved us all.

Show time is 7:30 on Saturday, April 6th with a possible dine out before the show depending on the wishes of the group. Tickets go on sale through the venue beginning February 8th.
