Help Needed

Your Board of Directors is currently seeking an individual or individuals to help with Publicity Chair. This position makes sure that our advertising is reaching as many people as possible and our events are listed correctly. This is a critical job to ensure that folks are hearing about us and we continue to grow. If interested, contact me or any Board member. Many thanks to Kathy Brazaitis for serving in this role.

We are also looking for someone to assist with the Social Committee. It is the many diverse and interesting events that keep the group going. Please bring your fresh ideas to the table.

Lastly, I would like to encourage all members to consider hosting an event. It can be anything you’re interested in and it’s never too late to post a new event – we can simply send an email update to all members. It’s your involvement that keeps this organization vibrant and active.

Fish Creek WI

September 8-10 The fall campout will be at Peninsula State Park, in Fish Creek, on the Door Peninsula. This year we will be located in beautiful Tennison Bay. We have four campsites which can be shared by up to six people each. PLEASE NOTE: Each site (355,357,359) can accommodate only one camper trailer; so the first three to register and pay for a camper will get those sites. No problem with additional tents, but additional camper trailers will have to pay for their own campsites nearby in Peninsula State Park. No camping experience is needed. If you don’t have a tent or equipment, we will match you up with someone who does.

Four group meals are provided. These include: Friday’s evening meal (Everyone bring chili for our famous chili dump!), Saturday’s breakfast and dinner, (lunch is on your own) and Sunday’s breakfast. Coffee, juice, and water will be provided. If you wish, bring any additional beverages for yourself. State park stickers are required on each vehicle. This fee is your responsibility.

Cost: $35.00 for members. $40.00 for nonmembers.

Members who are not camping with us are welcome to join us for meals. To help defray expenses we ask that you pay $20 to cover all four of our group meals.

If we have any money left over after expenses are paid we will make refunds.

To hold a spot, please send your check for $35/$40/$20 and this registration form to our CWN Treasurer Dave Stepanik, PO Box 752, Stevens Point, WI 54481. Questions, call Mary Readel at 715-446-2728.

"Dead Man’s Carnival is a Nationally touring Milwaukee based Live music variety show. The show Combines our love for turn of the century Vaudeville with the uncompromising passion of the Do-it-yourself underground punk rock community. Acting as more than just an evening of entertainment, we create a time and place for unusual displays that would otherwise have no place to bloom. The show is presented in a format that emphasizes crowd interaction, improvisation, and inner group collaboration. With a rotating cast of dozens of performers from all over the country we are writing the next chapter in Wisconsin’s long Circus legacy."
