Labor Day Pot Luck and Bon FIre -
Monday, September 3, 2018
5:30 p.m.

Sara's House - Click for Mapquest Map
N3657 County Road E
Waupaca, WI 54981

For CWN Members and their Guests

The Labor Day CWN potluck event is back on and will be held at Sara Bredesen's home in Waupaca. If the weather cooperates, we will start at 5:30 p.m. with an obstacle croquet tourney where the lowest scores at the end of the challenge course will play off for prizes. This is not your every-day croquet! If you have a set of croquet balls and mallets available to share, please mark your name on the equipment and bring it along. You might also want a lawn chair.
If the weather doesn't cooperate, there are decks of cards and board games. Nobody will get bored.
We plan to eat at about 7 p.m. Please bring a dish to pass for what promises to be another notable CWN potluck. Some liquid refreshments will be on hand, or you can BYO. There is also a very nice grill on the deck for those who like to play with fire. Eating utensils and plates will be provided.
Speaking of fire, for the diehards who are just having too darned much fun to go home (or are coming late), we'll light the backyard fire pit down by the pond and watch the stars come out. (Mosquito repellent and makings for s'mores provided!)
Sara's address is N3657 County Road E, Waupaca. If your GPS takes you south of town, turn around and head the other way through Waupaca. Her place is two miles north of the viaduct (or Neimuth's Steak and Chop Shop) on the way to Ogdensburg. Coming from the north, just watch for the fire numbers and don't get rear-ended on the curve.
Please RSVP to Sara at 715-360-7253 or stbrede@gmail.com.

Fish Creek WI 54212

Door County - Fall Campout

Peninsula State Park

September 7-9

Our CWN fall campout will be at Peninsula State Park, in Fish Creek, on the Door Peninsula. This year our sites will be located in Tennison Bay. We have four campsites each of which can be shared by up to six people.  PLEASE NOTE: Each site (355,357,359) can accommodate only one camper trailer; so the first three with trailers who register and pay will get one of those sites. We are allowed multiple tents, but others with camper trailers will have to pay for their own campsites nearby in Peninsula State Park.

No camping experience is needed. If you don’t have a tent or equipment, we will match you up with someone who does. Four group meals are provided. These include: Friday’s evening meal (Everyone bring chili for our famous chili dump!), Saturday’s breakfast and dinner, (lunch is on your own) and Sunday’s breakfast. Coffee, juice, and water will be provided. If you wish, bring any additional beverages for yourself. State park stickers are required on each vehicle. This fee is your responsibility.

Cost: $40.00 for members. $45.00 for non-members. Members who are not camping with us are welcome to join us for meals. To help defray expenses we ask that you pay $20 to cover all four of our group meals. To hold a spot, please send your check for $40 (member) $45 (non-member) or $20 for meals only,  and the registration form to our CWN Treasurer Dave Stepanik, PO Box 752, Stevens Point, WI 54481.
